Our Center for Hair Restoration is designed to deliver the doctor’s pioneering hair transplant procedures in a comfortable and state-of-the-art environment. These procedures include Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation, Follicular Unit Extraction and hair transplant repair procedures.

You are encouraged to visit our hair restoration office to meet with Dr. Bernstein in a private consultation and to receive an honest assessment of your hair loss and your best possible treatment options. At the consultation, you will have a careful examination, including scalp density measurements that will aid the doctor in assessing future hair loss and in determining your candidacy for specific treatments including medical therapy and/or a hair transplant.

If hair transplants are being considered, careful attention will be paid to your donor density and scalp laxity, parameters that determine the available the donor supply and specific hair characteristics that will affect the aesthetic outcome of the surgery. Your expectations will be carefully considered in our recommendations and in the planning of your surgical hair restoration procedure.

When Dr. Bernstein recommends a procedure, you will have the benefit of his vast experience in surgical hair restoration and corrective work, his excellent aesthetic judgment, and his uncompromising attention to details.

Our Staff

Our clinical staff has worked closely with Dr. Bernstein for years – many having been with the doctor throughout the development of his pioneering hair transplant surgery techniques – giving them extraordinary expertise in stereo-microscopic dissection and follicular unit graft placement.

The staff at Bernstein Medical is chosen for their integrity and for their devotion to patient care. They are required to undergo a stringent 12-month training period that includes follicular unit dissection, graft handling and placement. Their technical skills and professionalism are continually monitored and evaluated.

The size, technical skills and experience of our hair transplants team allows Dr. Bernstein to perform large transplant sessions when they are indicated. The large clinical staff allows the assistants to be rotated so that they are alert and focused through out these long-transplant sessions. This ensures that the highest quality of work is maintained throughout the entire surgical hair restoration session.

Our clinical staff works hard to make your experience at Bernstein Medical a pleasant one. We are aware that many patients are apprehensive of having any type of surgery and we are careful to make sure that you are relaxed and comfortable throughout your hair transplant or repair procedure (see the Procedure).

We will give you detailed pre-and post-op instructions, both verbally and in writing, so you will know exactly what to expect throughout the entire hair replacement surgery process.
